Peonies – Wow, Just Wow

WP_20160522_11_39_48_Rich (2)I LOVE peonies.  This is a fairly new flower for me to grow, but I LOVE them.  I don’t know of a more beautiful flower and I pay attention to flowers!  I love so many flowers, but I LOVE these.  I planted three Kansas Double Peonies last spring and they produced a few blooms, but look at the yield this year.  There are over a dozen blooms on each plant.  Wow!  I’m totally blown away.  So beautiful, so bountiful.  The ants love them. The bees love them.  I love them. 😀 Flower happiness.

WP_20160526_13_53_11_Rich (2)Last fall, I planted nine more peony bushes.  They all came out healthy, but none of them bloomed.  I’m looking forward to next year and the years beyond when all these peony bushes will yield scores of luscious blooms.  I’m a patient gardener.  I’m happy to wait when I know that fantastic, wondrous blooming is coming.

Happily blooming in Snohomish, WA.  Sheri

This is just one of the three peony bushes.  All had over a dozen blooms each.
